Four classical prose text composed by scholars and officials of local renown (one from Hupeh). “Rhapsody on the Spring of the Two Masters.” Composed by Chang Hsia, Advanced Scholar Presented by his Township 貳師泉賦 鄉貢進士 張俠撰. “Rhapsody on the Fisherman’s Song of the Waves.” Composed by the Former Advanced Scholar Ho Chüan 漁父歌滄浪賦 // 前進士 何蠲撰. “Rhapsody on the General of Ch’in” 秦將賦 (end title adds “one fascicle” 一卷). “Song of Happiness” 高興歌 or “Rhapsody on Wine” 酒賦一本. Composed by the Prefect of Chiang-chou, Liu Chang-ch’ing 江洲刺史劉長卿撰. Ordinary, fairly thick, fibrous beige paper. Irregularly ruled; much empty space left at end of scroll. Mediocre hand; some columns in an inferior hand. Probably copied by “Slave Dog” Wu 吳狗奴 whose name occurs three times on v°, twice in colophons. “Inscription on the eighth day of the first month of the hsin-mao year (931?) of copying in his own hand by ‘Slave Dog’ Wu.” 辛夘年正月八日吳狗奴自手書記之耳.
