l. 1: Rgya, perhaps an error for rkya, "crop."
l. 1: on stong sde"district of 1000 (estates ?)" see above, p. 25 sqq. (ITJ 1253) and infra, pp. 315 sqq., vol. i, Thomas_1935: pp. 282-3.
Drug chun(g) = "Little Dru gu" (see pp. 30: M.I.xxviii.001, IOL Tib N 875, pp. 274-6: M.I.iv.57, Or.15000/312-316, M.I.iv.81, IOL Tib N 227, M.Tagh.a.vi.0031, IOL Tib N 1782).
l. 2: stsang: see. pp. 17 (Fragment.66, IOL Tib J 897), 19 (Fragment.67, IOL Tib J 1126), and Index.
l. 3: rkang, "bundle", as in p. 240 (M.Tagh.a.iii.0063, Or.15000/91); 92.A2 and elsewhere.
tshan"account": see p. 91 (Ch.73.viii.5, IOL Tib J 1357) below.
From this fragment it appears likely that the Sha cu division consisted mainly of two thousand-districts (stong sde), Stong sar and Rgod sar, those, in fact, of which we mostly hear elsewhere. But below (p. 45: Ch.79.xvi.7, IOL Tib J 914, p. 58: Ch.82, IOL Tib J 1018) we have Snying tsoms, Spyi tshogs and Tshas stobs.
The personal names will appear in the consolidated list (infra, pp. 113 sqq.).
